Private EZ
Private Economic Zones are playing very important role to attract foreign investment and create employment. BEZA has already given pre-qualification licenses to 17 Private Economic Zone developers, out of which 06 have been awarded Final Permits. A total of US$ 3029.41 million has already been invested and 14513 jobs have been created by the Private Economic Zone developers. Honda Manufacturing Company has started the construction activities in Abdul Monem Economic Zone and Meigo, a Chinese company, has started their export from Bay Economic Zone. Meghna Economic Zone produces paper and tissues which are also exported to China, USA, Japan, India, Nepal and
Bhutan.
