Private sector investors, both Bangladeshi and foreign, have being showing keen interests to establish economic zones in various part of the country.

There are two private owned sites to be approved by government. one of them is AK Khan and Company Ltd . The Pre-qualification license has been handed over to A K Khan company Ltd as a developer for Danga, Polash, Narshingdi EZs.

The other one is Bausia EZ Project to be implemented by BGMEA in Munshigonj
