One Stop Service

One-stop service still a faraway dream

‘One stop services’ (OSS) is one of the services employed around the globe to facilitate investment. It is enables domestic as well as international investors to submit regulatory documents at a single location and/or to a single entity, which in turn facilitates the investor in obtaining necessary clearances.

The initiative to enact a law to attract foreign investments was taken by the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) first at its second board meeting on February 28, 2015. On July 27, 2016, the fourth BEZA board meeting decided to enact the law for creating a smooth investment atmosphere in the country and based on this background Government of Bangladesh passed the One-stop Service Act 2018. This act will ensure delivery of all services from a single point to the investors. A total of 31 services have been identified which will be provided from an automated OSS portal. OSS services are as follows;
